In 2017, Traditional Owners and Elders from around Australia gathered at 12 regional dialogues before arriving at Uluru to co-construct the Uluru Statement from the Heart. In June, the Australian Federal Government passed legislation to begin the process of calling a Referendum on the inclusion of one of the calls from the Uluru Statement from the Heart – the Voice, into the Australian Constitution. To help us understand what the Uluru Statement from the Heart is asking, and our options in the upcoming referendum, Fr Frank Brennan sj will be sharing his research and wisdom from his recently published book “An Indigenous Voice to Parliament – Considering a constitutional bridge.”
