Vince Geiger is joining the Cairns Diocese for a 2-hour Zoom session to work with secondary teachers of mathematics. The session’s focus is on mathematical modelling for secondary students that aligns to the Australian Curriculum. At the end of the session, participants will understand

- why it is important in the secondary years.
Vince Geiger is a professor of mathematics education at the Institute for Learning Sciences and Teacher Education (ILSTE), Australian Catholic University. He is an expert in the field of mathematical modelling, leading research across Australia including research in numeracy across the curriculum, mathematical modelling and STEM.
