Continuing on from our work together in 2024, the Second-Year Teacher program will allow participants to dive deeper into their own teacher identity and call to vocations.
The Days of the Year will focus on:
- Professional Identity
- Holding Professional Learning Conversations with Students, Parents and Colleagues
- Increasing skill set in pedagogical practices and curriculum understanding, planning and assessing.
- Well -Being
- Networking and Sharing of Practice

Term 3 – School Visits
In this new offering, second-year teachers will observe teachers in their classroom practice, focusing on their specific growth areas. A Zoom pre-session will be held to discuss goal setting and practicalities of the day, and post-discussion will occur as a group with further follow-up at the end of the term.
Term 4
In the final session of the year, second-year teachers can reflect on their practice, vocation, and teacher identity. Panels of various members of the Catholic education community will be invited into the day to assist with goal setting and a celebration of achievements. Teachers will self-select experiences to assist with their chosen goals.
