Primary & Secondary School Counsellors attend Counsellors Peer Support and Professional Development Days once per term. Counselling staff are allocated to school based services thus these allocated days are needed to ensure consistency of role, professional expectations, caseload management, clinical skill development and access to professional supervision (as per Professional Supervision Policy). Guest speakers are often sought from community organisations to ensure links are maintained with outside agencies. Recognised professional speakers are also accessed to aid in clinical skill development and maintenance of professional standards.
