DIBELS (Diagnostic Indicators of Basic Early Years Literacy) is the approved monitoring tool for reading acquisition, replacing Reading Benchmarks. All students in Prep- Year 2 will be screened using DIBELS in 2025. It can also be used to screen for reading difficulties in students enrolled in middle, upper primary, and junior secondary years.
