This network provides an opportunity for staff who lead EAL/D in school (EALD/ Leaders and Teachers, Diversity Leaders etc) to connect, network and share current practices and pedagogical approaches to enhance multilingual learners’ engagement.
In Term 4, current EAL/D learners are assessed and measurements of English language learning recorded in ENGAGE Student Support System in readiness for next year’s February census. The online 1.15 hour PLC addresses: EAL/D assessment types; examples and techniques; resources to support EAL/D assessment, steps in entering data and reporting considerations for EAL/D learners. Time will be allocated to answer any questions you may have about these processes.
