In Country retreats invite participants into the Encounter element of Connect as the retreatants walk with and learn from First Nations people on their traditional lands; people of kinship, earth, and spirit.
Through the strands of the Encounter Catholic Identity Framework, particularly, Living and Serving as Community and Forming intentionally within Community, these retreats are inspired by the ancient wisdom of the land to steward the stories of creation, ourselves and our living faith tradition within community, while also celebrating the First Nations peoples who continue to share and enrich our Catholic community.
Throughout the retreats, participants will be immersed in-country by First Nations Elders and engage in dialogue with members of Catholic Education Communities around what it means to work in partnership for healing and reconciliation. Participants will experience a number of prayer and meditation techniques and will be invited to explore how these can be integrated into their personal and professional lives.

Approximate Costing: $3000 per participant, invoiced to schools upon the booking of flights and accommodation.
