The demands of leading from the middle are unique and often require leaders to sharpen a new suite of skills. These sessions focus on addressing the capabilities and dispositions required for effective middle leadership, including leading learning, building trust and psychological safety, holding professional conversations, using conflict management skills, and leading change. The middle leaders’ standards will have a key focus each session. Each session will allow research-based input, reflection, collegial dialogue, and the formation of networking opportunities.
This program is aimed at staff new to middle leader positions. Two consecutive days have been set aside for orientation and planning for ongoing support as middle leaders develop in their role during their first year.
*This 2 day program has been changed from 11 & 12 February to 17 & 18 June
